Kindergarten Program

Our Kindergarten Program has been so successful for the youngsters and owners alike. The idea was born from our Breeding Program. Having those wonderful babies was an incredible experience, but those cute little ones grow up very fast and I learned the hard way, if you don’t teach them their manners early on, you will be in big trouble.

We take the Kindergarten Program very seriously. We advise our clients to handle their foals from day one and when it’s time to wean those foals they come to us for all those important finishing touches. They learn to stand and be groomed; they learn to be pleasant for the farrier and vet. They learn to take a bath and to be clipped, but most important they learn to respect their humans. They learn the “my space”, “your space” lessons, they learn to lead like good little campers. When they finally graduate from the Kindergarten Program their owners take a happy, well-mannered youngster home. We are proud to send them off knowing they will be safe for their owners to handle and they have learned enough to move on to whatever the next level will be in their growing up process.

Breeding is such a joy and my passion in life; however, it’s not the end of the road. Our foals must be mannered and safe to handle in order for them to have a happy and healthy life. We encourage all breeders to take the handling of their foals seriously and to do whatever is necessary to keep themselves and their treasured babies safe, When we take the time and trouble and sometimes expense to accomplish this goal, those foals will grow up to be a happy addition to their families. Trust me, it will be worth every effort, every moment or dollar spent to have a safe, happy and willing youngster in your life.
